Use Whisq responsibly, and we'll do our best to keep it running well for you. Your content is yours. AI-extracted recipes may have errors — always use your own judgment when cooking.

Using Whisq

Whisq is a personal cookbook application that extracts, organizes, and guides you through cooking recipes from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and food blogs. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to these terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Whisq. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Whisq, including reviews, ratings, notes, cooking photos, and cookbook organization. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you within the app.

You agree not to upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights.

Recipe Extraction

Whisq extracts recipe data from publicly available video and web content using AI. We do not guarantee the accuracy of extracted recipes — ingredients, quantities, temperatures, and instructions may contain errors. Always use your own judgment and common sense when cooking.

You must ensure you have the right to access content you submit. Whisq processes only publicly available information — do not submit content that requires bypassing paywalls, login walls, or other access restrictions.

Acceptable Use

To keep Whisq working well for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Access other users' accounts or data without authorization
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with our services
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-extract from the app
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application

Service Availability

We aim to keep Whisq available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to pause the service for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We'll do our best to minimize disruptions.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent — once deleted, your recipes, reviews, photos, and all other data cannot be recovered.

DMCA & Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Whisq infringes your copyright, please send a notice to dmca@whisq.app including a description of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, and your contact information. We will respond promptly to valid claims.

Limitation of Liability

Whisq is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use of Whisq after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Whisq will be resolved in the applicable state or federal courts.
